The Sea of Azov
We were married the 2nd of June, 2011.
Here is my wonderful wife:
Travel abroad was not possible and we went to the south of Russia – to the Sea of Azov. The difference in time zones with our city is 4 hours.
We stayed in the small village, called 'stanica Golubickaya'. We rented the room with two beds and one cupboard. Kitchen, toilet and shower were placed in the yard.
The first impressions was some strange. I thought that the sea is just a great accumulation of water. And it does not have anything fantastic. But I was wrong. Now I know that it has a kind of mystical sense. And it calls to return here again and again. Are you remember a quote from the movie "Knocking on Heavens Door"?

Apart from the sea, we visited a variety of excursions.
The house - museum of Mikhail Lermontov
You may know this house, if you read the “Hero of Our Time” by Lermontov. This place is described in chapter, called ‘Taman’. In this place smuglers traded arms to the Highlanders. And in this place the daughter of the housewife tried to drown Lermontov.

I learned in this museum very much about Lermontov – writer, artist, musician, Russian officer - the man of honor and his word.

Waterfalls of Phada River
First we drove 3 hours to the city, called Novorossiysk. This is a Russian hero city. Fierce battles against fascist Germany took place here. Also the name of the city is connected with numerous events of the Civil War in Russia.

Next, we delved into the Caucasus Mountains, and after 2 hours we got to desired place. We were put in a military truck ‘GAZ-66’ with an open top and we drove along the Pshada riverbed. About 20 minutes later we were deep in the woods at a local apiary.
Next 30 minutes we walked on a painterly brook. We admired the beauty of Caucasian nature and many little waterfalls. And then we visited locations of ancient dolmens. Their age is equated to the age of Egyptian pyramids.

There were also trips to the dolphinarium, Water Park, at the confluence of the Black and Azov Seas, and more. But it not impressed me.
I really liked this trip. And I hope that next my post about travel I’ll publish about Bali Island.
Thank you for reading.
